• Different Guages – The thinner the gauge, the more powerful the string with benefits to people who play with spin in their game. In general however, thinner strings tend to be less durable – This can be resolved by buying a thin gauge string which is designed to be more durable.
• Gauge 17 (1.25 mm) is standard gauge for squash
• Gauge 18 (1.20 mm) is "thinner than normal" gauge for squash
